Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 14, 2026

Neuraffica ("we", "us") operates neuraffica.com and the Synaptix experience at neuraffica.com/synaptix. This policy describes what little we process. This is a static informational site with no accounts and no ads. We measure how the site is used without cookies or names, as described below, and you can switch that measurement off at the bottom of this page.

What we collect

We do not require or collect personal information to use this site. There are no user accounts, no forms that store data on our servers, and no advertising trackers.

Usage analytics: we use PostHog to understand how the site and the game are used — pages viewed, buttons clicked, game days played. We do not know who you are: there is no account, no name, no email, and full IP addresses are discarded before events are stored. A random identifier in your browser tells us only that the same browser came back; it never follows you to other sites, and we build no profiles. We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding our own site, analytics data ages out automatically (currently after one year), and you can turn analytics off for your browser at the bottom of this page. Analytics requests travel through our own domain (neuraffica.com); we set no third-party trackers. PostHog Inc. processes this data on servers in the United States and participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. A small in-page note (from Naia, our game character) points European visitors to this section.

Hosting: the site is served by Vercel Inc. from a global network, which may include servers in the United States. Vercel also processes the technical delivery data described under server logs below.

Server logs: our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) may process standard technical data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This processing is governed by Vercel’s own privacy terms.

Fonts: all typefaces are served from our own domain — no font request goes to Google or any other third party.

Local storage (the game and analytics)

Synaptix saves your game progress (best scores, stars, seen tutorials) in your browser’s localStorage under the key synaptix.v2.progress. This data never leaves your device, is not transmitted to us, and can be removed at any time with the in-game "Reset progress" control or by clearing your browser storage.

The analytics tool stores a random identifier in localStorage so that repeat visits count as one visitor. It contains no name, email, or other personal detail; clearing your browser storage removes it, and the analytics switch at the bottom of this page stops it entirely.

Cookies

We set no cookies. First-party localStorage is used for game progress and the random analytics identifier, as described above.

Contact form and email

If you use the "Talk to us" form, we store what you typed — your name, email address, company if you gave one, your message, and the time — in a private spreadsheet processed for us by Google (Google Sheets), and we send ourselves an email copy through Resend, Inc. Files you attach are stored with our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) under long, unguessable links and used only to read your submission. All of them act as processors on our behalf. We do not store your IP address or browser details with the submission, and we use the data only to reply to you.

If you email us at hello@neuraffica.com, we will process the information you choose to send solely to respond to you. We do not add you to mailing lists.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., GDPR in the EU/EEA, CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because we hold essentially none, the practical scope is limited to email correspondence you have sent us. Contact us and we will handle it.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The effective date above always reflects the current version.

Analytics in this browser

Analytics is on. One click turns it off for this browser — the site and the game work exactly the same without it.
